VERBAL AND NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION




“The most important thing in communication is hearing what is not said “ says  Peter Drucker. Communication is not  speaking without body language or emotions. The meaning of communication is that it is a process by which information exchanged between individuals through a common system of symbols,signs, or behaviour.To communicate efficiently , people are using visual aids and  some communication types, such as verbal communication, nonverbal communication, written communication.  Researches show that communication is only 7% verbal %93 nonverbal. Nonverbal component is made up of body language and tone of voice. Although nonverbal communication types have a great  effect on audiences,people can not underestimate the effects of verbal communication and visual aids.   Efficient communication and communication types have an  important place in public speech. Non verbal and verbal communication types can not be seperated from each other.
First of all communication and its skills  have a significant role in all of our lifes.Communication refers to the process by which people exchange information through verbal and nonverbal message.Verbal communication,in short, is a spoken communication.People use verbal communication  to transmit knowledge and information.Nonverbal communication is the process of exchange information without using words either spoken or written.Body language,gestures,eye contact,facial expression are all nonverbal communications methods.Communication can be  with and without verbs,and this is referred to as verbal and nonverbal.Verbal and nonverbal communications deal with transferring and receiving information.So that when people try to communicate with each other,they have to use both communication types.
Secondly no one can underestimate the effects of nonverbal communication methods during a speech. According to experts nonverbal communication has significant part in communication at least verbal communication. People use nonverbal communication methods in their daily life unexpectedly. Including postures,facial expressions,and tone of voice. From our hairstyle to clothing style, nonverbal details reveal who speaker is and impact how speaker relate to receiver.All of these nonverbal communication methods make the speech strong. Listening a speech with using nonverbal communication methods,such as gestures, eye contact, will be more effective than the speech without nonverbal communication methods.In short,a substantial portion of communication is nonverbal and in daily life people also use nonverbal communication methods unconsciously. 
Lastly, according to the study communication is %7 verbal and %93 nonverbal. Body language is all the nonverbal communication that people make consciously and unconsciosuly. With the help of body language speech can be effective. To impress receiver, speaker often smile or hold contact with the receiver’s eyes. Body movemements are significant to know how to use it during speech.Facial expressions and movements are crucial while transmitting your feeling.Smile on the face reflects confidence. Good posture coordinates your verbal language.Having right body posture help to control your voice during speech.In brief,If people use body language effectively, it would help to captivate people’s attention during communication.
In conclusion, Nonverbal and verbal communication types have similarities that they both deal with transferring and receiving information. To make effective and efficient communication people need communication types. Nonverbal and verbal communication types could not separated from each other. When people are using verbal communication at the same time they make strong their speech with nonverbal communicatipn types. As Jim Rohn said “Take advantage of every opportunity to practice your communication skills so that when important occasions arise, you will have the gift, the style, the sharpness, the clarity, and the emotions to affect other people.”
